Each bite combines the sweetness of condensed milk and chocolate with the warmth of coconut, making them a hit with all ages.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk (300 ml in Canada, 14 oz in the US)
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups dried coconut (fine or medium cut)
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs, plus extra for rolling
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract, mixing until well blended.
- Add Dry Ingredients: Stir in the graham cracker crumbs, dried coconut, and chocolate chips, mixing thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Chill the Mixture: Place the mixture in the refrigerator for about an hour to allow it to firm up, making it easier to roll.
- Form Cookie Balls: Scoop and roll the mixture into 1 1/4-inch balls. Keep them on the smaller side, as they are quite rich.
- Coat with Graham Crumbs: Roll each ball in additional graham cracker crumbs to coat them evenly.
- Final Chill: Arrange the coated balls on a baking sheet and refrigerate until firm.
- Store: Transfer the Moose Farts to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator. They can be kept this way for up to a week.
Notes
- Chill Before Rolling: Chilling the mixture before shaping makes it easier to handle and less sticky.
- Control the Sweetness: If you prefer less sweetness, use unsweetened coconut to balance the condensed milk.
- Uniform Size: Use a small cookie scoop for even-sized balls, which helps them chill evenly and look more polished.
- Method: No-Bake
