  • Author: Susan
  • Total Time: 35 - 40 Minutes
  • Yield: 20 Stuffing Balls 1x

Description

These golden, savory Stuffing Balls are a festive twist on classic stuffing. Perfectly sized and baked until crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, each bite is full of comforting herb flavor. With hints of onion, celery, and poultry seasoning, they bring out the best of the holiday flavors in a convenient, easy-to-eat form.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 4 cups dry stuffing mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the dry stuffing mix with chicken broth and melted butter. Stir until the stuffing mix is evenly moistened.
  3. Add Vegetables and Seasonings: Mix in the beaten eggs, chopped onion, celery, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Form Stuffing Balls: Shape the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake: Bake the stuffing balls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and firm to the touch.
  6. Serve: Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Control Moisture: For a firmer texture, add a bit more stuffing mix to absorb extra moisture.
  • Uniform Size: Use a cookie scoop to make uniform balls for even baking.
  • Serve with Gravy: Serve with a side of warm gravy for dipping, or drizzle over the top before serving.
