Ingredients

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or white chocolate chips, optional
  • 1 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies e.g., Oreos
  • 1/2 cup mini pretzels broken into pieces
  • 1/2 cup red and green candy-coated chocolates e.g., M&Ms
  • 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies optional
  • 1 tablespoon festive sprinkles optional

Instructions

  • Melt the chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler.t
  • Spread the chocolate: Pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into an even layer using a spatula.
  • Add toppings: Sprinkle the crushed cookies, pretzels, candy-coated chocolates, peppermint candies, and sprinkles evenly over the chocolate while it's still warm.
  • Press gently: Press the toppings slightly into the chocolate to ensure they stick.
  • Cool and set: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30–40 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely set.
  • Break into pieces: Once hardened, remove the bark from the refrigerator and break it into irregular pieces.
  • Serve or store: Serve immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.

Notes

  • Customize the toppings based on your favorite candies and cookies.

  • Store in the refrigerator in warmer climates to prevent melting.
