Ingredients
  

  • - 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • - 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • - 1/4 cup dried cranberries chopped
  • - 1/4 cup pecans chopped
  • - 2 green onions finely sliced
  • - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • - 1/4 tsp salt
  • - 1/4 cup dried cranberries extra, for coating
  • - 1/4 cup pecans extra, for coating

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese until well blended.
  • Stir in the chopped cranberries, pecans, green onions, garlic powder, and salt until evenly combined.
  • Shape the mixture into a ball and wrap it tightly in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
  • In a shallow dish, combine the extra chopped cranberries and pecans for coating.
  • Roll the cheese ball in the cranberry-pecan mixture, pressing gently to adhere the coating.
  • Place the cheese ball on a serving plate and serve with crackers, pretzels, or sliced vegetables. Enjoy!

Notes

  • The cheese ball can be made up to 2 days in advance; add the coating just before serving.
  • For a spicier version, mix in a pinch of cayenne pepper or chopped jalapeƱos.
