Total Time 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups chow mein noodles
  • 3/4 cup salted almonds roughly chopped
  • 3/4 cup Heath Bits O' Brickle English Toffee Bits
  • 16 oz. chocolate candy coating

Instructions

  • Melt the Chocolate
  • Melt the chocolate candy coating over medium heat on the stovetop or in the microwave, stirring frequently until smooth and fully melted.
  • Combine Ingredients
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the chow mein noodles, chopped almonds, and English toffee bits, reserving a small amount of toffee bits for topping. Pour the melted chocolate over the mixture and stir until everything is evenly coated.
  • Form the Haystacks
  • Using a spoon, drop portions of the mixture onto a sheet of wax paper, shaping each spoonful into a haystack. Sprinkle each haystack with the reserved toffee bits and/or additional chopped almonds for extra crunch and flavor.
  • Cool and Serve
  • Allow the haystacks to cool completely at room temperature until the chocolate hardens. Once set, enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use Fresh Ingredients: Fresh, crunchy chow mein noodles and nuts provide the best flavor and texture.
  • Avoid Over-Stirring: Stir just enough to coat the ingredients to prevent the noodles from breaking down too much.
  • Setting: Let the haystacks cool at room temperature rather than refrigerating to avoid condensation and keep them crisp.
