- - 1 cup unsalted butter melted
- - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- - 2 cups all-purpose flour
- - 1/2 cup raspberry preserves
- - 1/2 cup fresh raspberries optional
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
In a large bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, and flour until a crumbly dough forms.
Press 2/3 of the dough mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form a crust.
Spread the raspberry preserves evenly over the crust. If desired, sprinkle fresh raspberries on top.
Crumble the remaining dough over the raspberry layer to create a topping.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the raspberry layer is bubbly.
Remove from the oven and allow the bars to cool in the pan for 15 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
- Substitute raspberry preserves with any flavor of jam you like.
- For extra texture, add chopped nuts or oats to the crumb topping.
- Store bars in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
